Information from SpringShare on what to expect when transitioning to Alma/Primo

What was decided upon? (e.g. what has been updated or changed?)

Why was this decided? (e.g. explain why this decision was reached. It may help to explain the way a procedure used to be handled pre-Alma)The main thing to consider for an ILS migration are links to your catalog (link assets or books from the catalog assets). If you have any links within guides or FAQs, those links will need to be updated. You can use the search and replace for this for links, but it may not work quite so well for any links to individual items. If needed, we can have you fill out a spreadsheet of old > new URLs and we can make the change for you on the backend.

You’ll also want to check your search sources in LibApps > Admin > Search Sources to consider integration with Alma/Primo are removing any search sources connected with your old catalog. Any widgets that you have in your catalog will have to be transferred to the new catalog, but the same widget code should work in both locations.

Check for any catalog search widgets that you may have embedded. Those will need to be updated too.
