In the event of a death of a student, please follow these guidelines –
Items currently on loan are to be marked as Lost, hopefully with time the books will eventually be returned, if not the libraries will absorb the loss. Please note each record with “Previous patron deceased” and date. Any outstanding fines/fees are to be waived. Contact Student Accounts at student.loans@vanderbilt.edu for outstanding library charges currently on the student’s account. For outstanding charges, you will need to issue a credit to clear the account.
