Why was this decided? (e.g. explain why this decision was reached. It may help to explain the way a procedure used to be handled pre-Alma) Survey choices identified by peer search included Abstract, Author, Country, Description, Keyword, Main Title, Other Title, Place Name, Publication Year, Subject, Subect MESH. We also recommended appropriate contrast between tab titles and background (titles not grayed out). The top five choices were: 1. Author (92.8% of respondents); 2. Main Title (88.9%); 3. Keyword (84.3%); 4. Subject (67.9%); 5. Publication Year (46.7%). Request from Special Collections: Add ability to search by call # or location in advanced search. Special Collections request: Advanced Search date field should have same nomenclature as facets (oldest & newest). No consensus among staff on whether to include publication year hereā€”but the users want it.
